Meet brothers Barnacle and Ajax, the useless pair of monks who live in a monastery on the edge of the ‘civilized world’. Our world . . .
Like a couple of unlikely-looking world leaders, they stand shoulder to shoulder against the inexorable advance of progress, sharing with us their thoughts about life, death, life after death, and many more trivial matters besides.
It becomes clear that while Barnacle (the tall) and Ajax (the small) are pretty hopeless monks, they are just regular people. And therein lies their biggest problem… It takes more than a habit and a haircut to change.
What’s it all about? I don’t know. And neither do Barnacle and Ajax.
But you can bet they’re going to have a good time trying to find out.
